DESCRIPTION
HGA provided the engineering services for the new 225,250 sq-ft manufacturing and distribution facility on the 238 acre Yamaha campus in Newnan, Georgia. Components of this project included the design of a new entrance drive into the Yamaha facility campus off of State Route 34, site fire protection and domestic water service extensions to and throughout the site, design and detailing for the site wastewater management system, along with the design/detailing of two excavated storm water management ponds and the associated storm water collection and conveyance systems, (BMP’s) and other storm water pollution control and prevention measures to comply with Georgia’s NPDES mandates. Building structure components included a conventional structural steel braced frame system supporting steel bar joists on a shallow foundation. The building wall panels were pre-cast concrete. HGA also prepared design documents for a 4,300 sq-ft hazardous material building within the existing Yamaha Gold Cart Manufacturing Facility with supporting infrastructure. In addition to the engineering design services, HGA also provided permitting assistance and construction administration services for the Civil & Structural Engineering portions of the project
