With more than 35 years of structural engineering and management experience, Randy has the deep experience and knowledge from working with literally hundreds of clients across virtually every industry segment. As a principal and managing partner of HGA, he brings that expertise, experience and oversight to the broad spectrum of new and long-time customers on a the wide range of projects – from the straightforward to the complex.
After joining Guillebeau Britt & Haines in 1984, Randy assumed the role of leading the Atlanta office’s structural engineering department in 1991. In 1994, with the retirement of founding partner Otis Guillebeau and departure longtime partner Ed Britt, the firm transitioned to the current company name, Haines, Gipson & Associates and Randy became President.
Randy’s career has emphasized the same principles he grew up with – integrity and fairness; work you’re proud to put your name on; keeping your word and commitments; and satisfying a personal level of conscientiousness and responsibility uncommon in today’s environment.
HGA also reflects Randy’s philosophy in delivering quality, based on sound engineering principles, for every client; in remaining current through continued training and learning; and in providing an uncompromising level of service. HGA’s innate ability to view a project through the client’s eyes including critical milestones and construction budgets, has enabled the firm to maintain long-term client relationships, a reputation for reliability, and to expand its customer base to include new industry segments.
Randy is married and has two children. Besides being with his family, he enjoys golf, running, weightlifting and reading.
