DESCRIPTION

Haines, Gipson & Associates, Inc. provided the consulting engineering services for this 152,360 sq-ft, 3-story middle school. The project included construction of a gymnasium, cafeteria, classrooms, and sports facilities including softball and football fields. Site design components included the conveyance of sanitary sewer lines tying to the existing infrastructure, the design of the associated storm water collection and conveyance systems, BMP’s, and other storm water pollution control and prevention measures complying with Georgia’s NPDES mandates. HGA also took into account special storm water design features such as Water Quality and Channel Protection per the design standards of Dekalb County. Other relevant components included the design of special retaining walls and water detention structures, GDOT permit acquisition, and landscaping features. In addition to the engineering design services; HGA also provided local municipal and state permitting assistance and construction administration services for the Site/Civil portions of the project.
