Grady Stadium was designed in 1948 by the prominent architect Richard Aeck and is considered a masterpiece of modern engineering expression. Renovation of this historic site includes overall concrete repair of the stands while providing a new waterproof finish to both the East and West stands and light towers. Column repair was essential as many were showing major deterioration and distress. A new addition built underneath the seating area of the West Stands increased the size of the ROTC program an additional 6,000 square feet while a new handicap accessible mezzanine was constructed adjacent to this area. New elevator towers and ramps have been added to both the East and West stands along with new ticket booths. This project is LEED Certified – Silver Level. The budget for this project is $6,600,000.
