HGA provided site / civil design services for a 4-level, 1,467 space parking deck that services The Prado re-development. Our services included the site layout of the parking spaces to ensure adequate traffic flow for the retail centers – including 14-ft clearance for truck delivery at the bottom level. We ensure that the parking deck met all the fire-truck access requirements as well as all of the zoning and parking considerations from the City of Sandy Springs. The design team was tasked with providing a deck whose operational functionality was for retail customer use in lieu of traditional parking decks that showcase mass vehicular storage. We also provided drainage design for all the storm water inside the deck and its connection to outside infrastructure.
