DESCRIPTION

Haines, Gipson & Associates, Inc. provided the consulting engineering services for this project. Located in Marietta, Georgia, this project is on a 9 acre site and is one of Georgia’s first LEED Silver housing developments. HGA’s design included the grading for a new 10 house complex (pictured right-top), a new food service facility and the coordination for a new access road including future streetscape features. The 10 house complex was designated for special interest residents such as athletes, international students, Greek associations and honor societies. The food service facility (pictured right-middle)consists of 2 suite style, 4 to 5 story buildings (170,500 sq. ft) designed for 334 seats. Other relevant design components of this project include extensive pedestrian walkways, re-alignment of two campus roads, the design of the sanitary sewer conveyance systems tying to the existing infrastructure, the design of the associated storm water collection and conveyance systems, BMP’s, and other storm water pollution control and prevention measures complying with Georgia’s NPDES mandates. In addition to the engineering design services, HGA also provided local municipal and state permitting assistance and construction administration services for the site/civil portions of the project.
