Haines, Gipson & Associates, Inc. provided the consulting engineeringservices for this project. Located in Marietta, Georgia, thisproject is on a 9 acre site and is one of Georgia’s first LEED Silverhousing developments. HGA’s design included the grading for a new 10 house complex (pictured right-top), a new food service facility andthe coordination for a new access road including future streetscape features. The 10 house complex was designated for special interestresidents such as athletes, international students, Greek associationsand honor societies. The food service facility (pictured right-middle)consists of 2 suite style, 4 to 5 story buildings (170,500 sq. ft) designed for 334 seats. Other relevant design components of this projectinclude extensive pedestrian walkways, re-alignment of two campusroads, the design of the sanitary sewer conveyance systems tyingto the existing infrastructure, the design of the associated storm watercollection and conveyance systems, BMP’s, and other storm waterpollution control and prevention measures complying with Georgia’sNPDES mandates. In addition to the engineering design services,HGA also provided local municipal and state permitting assistance and construction administration services for the site/civil portions ofthe project.
