Military construction projects are carried out via the Design/Build Method, formerly known as the Master Builder Approach. The “Master Builder” depends on the team to provide timely, accurate information in order to complete the project on time and within budget. HGA understands its role on the Design/Build Team and has proven its capabilities to produce preliminary documents and quantity estimates that help stabilize cost estimates, as well as its abilities in carrying the design through construction document production, and in construction administration.

FORT GORDON ENTERTAINMENT FACILITIES RENOVATION

Bingo Palace, Officer’s Club

HGA provided the engineering services for renovation of an existing +18,000 sq-ft. entertainment hall.  The renovation included covering the existing sloped roof with a gabled roof requiring light gage stud stick framing atop the existing roof.  Large louvers were placed within the roof to allow access for maintenance and removal of existing roof top units.  The gabled roof was also extended over an existing patio on one side of the building to create a covered outdoor seating area.  The existing entry way was removed and a larger, more appealing entry way was constructed.

Gordon Club

HGA provided the engineering services for the renovation of an existing +36,000 sq-ft banquet and dining hall.  The renovation included covering the existing sloped roof with a gabled roof requiring light gage stud stick framing atop the existing roof.  Large louvers were placed within the roof to allow access for maintenance and removal of existing roof top units.  Also, an entry tower was created to provide central access providing a focal point for the entire structure.
