Education: BSCE / 2005 – Auburn University

Experience: Joseph has been with Haines, Gipson & Associates, Inc since 2005.  He has served as Project Manager for large and small scale commercial retail, utility/infrastructure, and municipal civil engineering projects.  Responsibilities include pre-design planning and coordination, design and production of plans and specifications, permitting, and construction administration and inspections.

Joseph has taken a major leadership roll in the Civil Engineering Department in the field of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) ®.  While at HGA, Joseph continues to apply strategies to provide energy-efficient designs and improve the development's life time performance by applying his vast knowledge of green designs. The US Green Building Council (USGBC) and the (LEED) ® program now make it possible to ensure that measures are taken to plan for sustainable green developments that preserve the environment.

Most recently, Joseph assisted in the design a new expansion to North Georgia College and State University campus in Dahlonega, Georgia.  The overall expansion includes a four story, 130,000 s.f. civilian housing building, a four story, 87,000 s.f. cadet housing building specifically designed for use by the college’s R.O.T.C. program, a 30,000 s.f. dual level student dining and banquet facility, and a six level parking deck structure that provided over a thousand new parking spaces. Some of his retail experience includes assisting in the design of projects such as: Barrow Crossing (60-acre Commercial Development in Winder, Georgia;  The Promenade (73-acre Retail and Restaurant Development in D’Iberville, Mississippi);  Coleman Market Place (60-acre Commercial Site in Danville, Virginia);  Oxford Exchange (80+ acres of Infrastructure, Commercial and Restaurant Space in Oxford, Alabama); to name a few.
