STRUCTURAL POSITIONS

Haines, Gipson & Associates, Inc. is currently interviewing to fill an entry level Structural Engineering position.  An Atlanta based company (registered and working in 45 states) for over 40 years, Haines, Gipson & Associates is a mid-sized consulting engineering firm with a current staff of 16 registered Professional Engineers and 9 registered E.I.T.’s, as well as administrative personnel. With a diversified client base of architects, contractors, developers, and municipalities, our structural engineers stay busy with a wide variety of projects: retail / commercial buildings, churches/schools, heavy industrial processing facilities, and bridges/decks.  

Applicants should enjoy engineering, and have a strong desire to build a career as a structural engineer as they work toward taking the Professional Engineers exam.  Applicants should also meet the following qualifications:  

--- be a recent,  fall '07 / Spring '08 grad.

--- have taken & passed the F.E. exam, or intend to do so in the near future.

--- have strong communication skills, both verbal & written.

--- be PC computer literate.

--- have strong understanding of statics and basic equilibrium of forces

--- have working knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.

 --- have working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or architectural desktop 

Include in a cover letter a description of any “real world” work experience, especially any construction or engineering experience.

With a diversified client base of developers, architects, contractors, and municipalities, our engineers stay busy with a wide variety of projects including: retail / commercial buildings, churches/schools, heavy industrial processing facilities, and multi-family residential sites.

Applicants should enjoy engineering, and have a strong desire to build a career as a civil engineer as they work toward taking the Professional Engineers exam.  Applicants should also meet the following qualifications:  

--- be a recent,  fall '07 / Spring '08 grad.

--- have taken & passed the F.E.. exam, or intend to do so in the near future.

--- have strong communication skills, both verbal & written.

--- be PC computer literate.

--- have strong understanding of hydrology

- --- have working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or land desktop (or Civil 3D)
