Gainesville, GA
Project Description:
Faced with a parking shortage in the heart of Gainesville, GA, the city commissioned Haines Gipson and Associates to provide the structural and civil engineering for a new five story, 167,000 sq-ft precast parking structure, built on the ruins of a demolished two story deck which no longer served the needs of the city. This deck is attractively clad with brick veneer, and the brick paver colonnade provides a welcoming entrance into the adjacent Georgia Mountain Center. The structure was designed to support a future two story vertical expansion of 66,000 sq-ft along with a 4th floor skywalk connection to the proposed adjacent preservation plaza.
