Associate - Structural Department

Education:  BSCE / 1998 – The Georgia Institute of Technology

Experience: David has been with Haines, Gipson and Associates, Inc since 1998. He became an associate in 2004.  Over the years he has been a project manager. Doing this role for the company, he has completed many different types of projects. The projects range from industrial, commercial, institutional, recreational, educational, parking structures and bridges. The materials used for these projects consist of wood, concrete, steel, prestressed concrete and stainless steel. Some of the projects that he was involved in that elevate above the others are: Abercorn Commons (first LEED all-retail project in the United States), Piedmont College’s baseball stadium and the performing arts building, District at Howell Mill (first Wal-Mart inside the perimeter) involving the design of a parking deck and retail units at the top level of the parking deck, Prado re-development (supplied all the retaining walls for site), Henry County High School, Gwinnett County Police Precinct and Snellville Police Headquarters. David is proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, RAM, STADD, and Microsoft Office. He has a “whatever it takes to get it done attitude” and strives for professional excellence in his work.
